2000 Liter Single-Use Bioreactor
EMD Millipore, the Life Science business of Merck KGaA, has introduced the Mobius® 2000 L single-use bioreactor. This newest bioreactor to join Mobius' stirred tank bioreactor portfolio (3, 50, and 200 L) provides the ultimate in flexibility, scalability, and convenience by incorporating industry-leading design features to enable easy optimization of the upstream process.

Features new to the 2000 L bioreactor include the industry's first pull-out drawer and self-deploying bag. With this design, no hoisting is required during Flexware® assembly installation and removal, making installation and inflation safe and easy while minimizing operator intervention. An external SensorReady loop connected to the Flexware assembly enables additional sensors to be incorporated without modifying the assembly, and while still assuring sterile connections.

The Mobius 2000 L single-use bioreactor can be supplied as a fully-integrated system with intuitive GMP-compliant software, allowing easy integration into plant automation strategies. Highly Scalable, High-Throughput Flow Cytometry-Based Screening Solution
Genedata and IntelliCyt have announced a technology alliance to transform screening of suspension cells. The alliance integrates the highly scalable data analytics and workflow capabilities of Genedata Screener® software with the high-throughput flow cytometry capabilities of the IntelliCyt iQue® Screener system to enable efficient screening of large libraries against suspension cells and multiplex beads in phenotypic drug discovery, antibody screening, immunology, and biomarker research.
The iQue Screener is an integrated instrument, software, and reagent system that enables rapid, high content, multiplexed analysis of cells and beads in suspension in industry standard 96-, 384-, or 1536-well plates. The system allows analysis of more than 10,000 cells or beads per second, each with 6–15 parameters. Over 36,000 low-volume, plate-based samples (1 µL samples are typical) can be tested per day. Genedata Screener imports well results, as well as raw and pre-gated cell data, from iQue Screener and supports the fast and efficient processing of routine screening.
