Drama-Free DNA Transfection
The Xfect™ Single Shots Transfection Reagent midi kit, from Clontech, is a lyophilized plasmid transfection reagent that comes pre-packaged in a convenient, one tube=one transfection format. Simply add your DNA, vortex the tube, and incubate the reaction for ten minutes. Your plasmid DNA is now ready to be added to your cells (BHK-21, HEK-293, MDCK, Jurkat, mMSC, CHO, and many more).

The single-tube format of Xfect Single Shots Transfection Reagent enables one plasmid transfection to be performed per each individual tube and requires just two pipetting steps. All reaction components are included in the tube except for the plasmid DNA. The midi kit is designed for transfecting plasmid into cells grown in a well of a six-well plate.

High-Performance Centrifuge Rotors for Disposable Conical Tubes
Designed for applications that use common, disposable conical tubes, JA-14.50 rotors from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences extend the applications and flexibility of the company’s Avanti centrifuge series, and can be used in Avanti J-26S, J-30I, and J-E centrifuges. The high-capacity rotors maintain precision performance and are capable of spinning 50, 15, 5, and 1.5 mL conical tubes, and 50, 15, and 10 mL round bottom tubes and bottles at their maximum speeds.

Delivering a top speed of 14,000 rpm and rcf of 35,000 x g, JA-14.50 rotors hold up to 16 x 50 mL conical tubes, maximizing the number of 50 mL conical tubes that can be processed in a single run. The fixed-angle rotor can be used for pelleting cells and bacteria; separating proteins, viruses, and subcellular fractions; running concentrators and columns; and phase separation and binding studies.
