Raw Materials Risk Mitigation and Management
Irvine Scientific’s custom media program is specified to each customer's unique requirements, ensuring lot-to-lot consistency and the success of your project. Controlling media from prototyping, through
scale-up or scale-down modeling, during troubleshooting, and finally at production requires the highest quality and rapid response. Irvine guarantees strong collaboration and communication during your order and after the product is delivered, providing the support you need to complete projects on-time.

Protecting raw materials is a vital part of any process, and one that should be taken seriously. Repercussions like plant shut-downs and drug shortages — stemming from events like virus contamination — can be far-reaching and difficult to overcome. To help safeguard your product
and avoid potential adverse events, keep the following things in mind when sourcing media...

World’s First Particle-By-Particle Charge Analysis Method
Izon Science has released the first commercially-available method to simultaneously measure the charge and size of nano- and submicron particles on a particle-by-particle basis. This innovative high-resolution analysis developed for Izon’s qNano platform provides a new tool for a range of fields, including drug delivery, diagnostics, and exosomes and microvesicles.

Izon's new method is able to measure the charge and size of individual particles from the resistive pulse signal they generate when passing through Izon’s elastic, size-tunable, pore sensor. This technique can be applied to accurately measure polydisperse or complex multi-modal suspensions composed of particle sets with different size and charge.

The new method is available through a modular hardware and software upgrade for existing users, or as a standard feature which comes with Izon’s qNano particle analysis system.

Hand-Held Pipetting Redefined
Hamilton Company introduces the Microlab® 300 Series Pipettor, the industry’s first guided pipetting system. The product is designed to bring the assurance of an automated liquid handling system into the hands of the laboratory technician at a low cost and without complex programming. This lightweight, hand-held device enables laboratories to achieve unsurpassed quality assurance through reproducible and traceable methods, and to reduce sample preparation time by eliminating inefficient steps.

The system exceeds accuracy benchmarks set by the industry by allowing users to fine-tune pipetting parameters for each liquid. The Microlab 300 is also unique because of its user-friendly, proprietary software. The system goes beyond pre-programmed pipetting operations for common techniques, like reverse pipetting and aliquoting, and allows technicians to easily create, save, and execute pipetting applications from start to finish.
