GE Healthcare has extended its hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) portfolio to include Capto Phenyl (high sub) and Capto Butyl media. These new media are intended specifically for the capture and intermediate stages of protein purification.

Capto HIC media enable the use of very high flow rates and larger sample volume processing, and are available in a variety of formats for screening to large-scale manufacture, including PreDictor plates, pre-packed HiScreen columns, and bulk packs.

GE Healthcare simultaneously extended its range of pre-filled PreDictor 96-well plates to include eight HIC media. For more information, please visit www.gelifesciences.com/bioprocess.

ZenPure Releases Two New Sizes of Disposable Filter Capsule Fittings

ZenPure announces the release of two new capsule sizes: the ZenCap Full Size Capsule and the PureFlo Junior Capsule. The ZenCap holds a full size cartridge inside and the PureFlo Junior is a compact filter with 260 cm2 of media.

Both are offered in 12 different media with several different fitting options for a variety of liquid and gas applications. No adhesives, binders, or surfactants are used in the manufacturing process, and all filter capsules are integrity tested to ensure reliable performance. HemoGenix Introduces STEMpredict to Indicate
Hematopoietic Stem Cell Growth, Functionality, and Viability

HemoGenix, Inc. has specifically designed the STEMpredict assay for mobilized peripheral blood, umbilical cord blood, or bone marrow products.  The assay allows for rapid assessment, usually in 2-3 days depending on the cells being assessed, and simultaneously measures three parameters: metabolic viability, cellular functionality, and proliferation.

STEMpredict incorporates an ATP-based, bioluminescence signal detection system which allows for assay calibration, standardization, and validation. A plate luminometer is required to perform the assay. For more information, please visit http://www.hemogenix.com/prod_STEMpredict.php.
