Cell Counting Made Easy
Perfect for large to small scale applications in biopharma, industrial, and academic fields, the Vi-CELL XR Cell Viability Analyzer automates the widely accepted trypan blue dye exclusion method for cell viability that has historically been performed manually with a light microscope, pipette, and a hemacytometer.

For more information, please visit: www.Vi-CELLEASY.com
Thanks to cutting-edge liquid handling technology, the entire system—from sample aspiration to reagent handling to instrument cleaning — is fully controlled by an advanced, yet easy-to-use software interface designed for maximum flexibility.

In less than 90 seconds, the Vi-CELL XR measures 15 to 30 times the volume of the hemacytometer method with a more comprehensive number of parameters. The Vi-CELL XR provides critical information conventional methods can’t offer.

New Size Exclusion HPLC Chromatography Columns
Thermo Fisher Scientific recently introduced the new Acclaim™ SEC-300 and SEC-1000 size exclusion HPLC columns. These columns are designed for high resolution separation of water-soluble polymers and oligomers. They are optimized for determining molecular weight distribution and characterization of water-soluble polymers used in a wide range of products found in pharmaceuticals.

The two columns have differing pore sizes to offer separations over a wide linear range of 100 to 1,000,000 Daltons. Based on a proprietary mono-dispersed multi-pore hydrophilic resin, these columns provide high resolution and good linearity for accurate and reliable analyses. The columns are compatible with a wide range of detectors including: UV, RI, MS, ELSD, and corona-charged aerosol.

Single-Use TFF Solution for Pre-Clinical to Clinical cGMP Biomanufacturing

Novasep
has launched the Sius™ single-use tangential flow filtration (TFF) skid, which is the first on the market to offer
a 100% single-use TFF solution.

The Sius TFF skid is comprised of an automated bench-top
unit with a fully disposable flowpath and is extremely compact. It is capable of lab to pilot-scale TFF operations. The unit accommodates surface areas from 0.1 square meters to 2.0 square meters for microfiltration and ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF) applications, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination.
The Sius TFF skid’s flowpath can be combined with TangenX Sius TFF cassettes and filter plate inserts with the option of a feed bag, to provide a complete single-use TFF solution from a single supplier for pre-clinical to clinical cGMP biomanufacturing. It is also one of the only solutions to enable cGMP validated integrity tests.
